Default Help quick from any computer pros!!!

Hi guys, I'm at work right now and I keep getting spammed with emails with some virus that say win32. something and my other co-workers are getting it as well. PLEASE HELP if you know any way to block these. The Norton is coming up, but all it does is quarentine and cannot repair. Thanks in advance for any help...

The virus is called "sobig" .... What it does it does is this: A buddy of yours opens an email(not sure what the email is called). Boom! infected with the virus. Virus goes into his address book and sends tons of junk mail to people in his/her address book. It's a huge cycle thats gonna get bigger as time goes by. Millions of people are expected to be affected.
Funny thing is that, if your receiving the emails...your not infected. The computers that gets infected are the original ones that opened the email...
Local news said that companies/homes should receive about 200 emails a day until Sept. 11, 2003, when the virus will terminate itself...

hmmm, go to norton.com, do a search for "sobig" and guess what url came up as the first result?

unresourcefulness is sickening. the very least you could've done was tried a google search.

I'm getting the same thing - my inbox gets spammed with about 100 emails with attatched files per day. I'm guessing there's no way to fix it. It seems that each email is coming from a different sender.

Unabageler's link shows the exact thing that my company is being hit with, but the IT guy that has administrative rights is on vacation till monday. Till then I will just have to sit tight and let the company know to do the same and not open anything.
