Just call him "that dog we were going to name some russian name and then we figured out he wasnt russian so we decided to go to an online forum where everyone thought it was stupid to name it a russian name or after and alchoholic beverage so we just named him this" that should work

Dunno why you are all getting on his case. There has been several people on this board who have asked the others for help on naming their pets.

Personally i don't see it as a bad thing when you wanna stick to a theme, in this case it *might* be liqour... but WE DO NOT Know that as a fact, you guys are only going off of what i have said since i know the other dogs name is Kahluha (sp?).

Anyway, I know someone who's named all their dogs after watches... Rolex, Movado... etc.

In my family we name our dogs after Greek Mythology.

To each their own.

Maybe it would help if you added reasons as to why you and your wife chose those names.
Our other chihuhua is named Kahlua. Kahlua is a Russian drink, more know as the White Russian but it is also known as a Mexican coffee liquor with herbs and vanilla that is brown in color. Our dog is brown so the name fits.

My wife likes the name Stoli because it sticks with the liquor theme.

I like Sputnik because I'm a fan of all things related to space and Sputnik was the first satellite ever launched and it was small.
