Dropped my car off today to have the following done:

1. Replace front engine beam and left controller arm
2. Alignment
3. Replace Back Window
4. Replace broken clamp for stero cover
5. TSB 54 & 55
6. Seat Belt Recall

GULP. They said I was looking at Tuesday of next week. For my own safety, I have taken pictures of the vehicle before taking it in.

Will update when car is back.... cant stand this corolla

I don't think you're being a freak, you're just being smart.

Good luck with all the work.

Umm, you can expect them to drive it a bit before you get it back. Don't be surprised if there's 30 or more miles on it. If you don't trust the dealer you should find another. I get mine back tomorrow for 54 & 55 and a creaking in the rear end.

For the creaking they undid the axle bolts and repacked with grease. It seems to fix it they say. They need to do more road tests to make sure everything is right. My service guy drives an S2000 so I don't have a great fear that it will be abused.

I've had the 2 recalls done the cover and the belts. Does every need to do this TSB 54 & 55? I don't normally get the grind and I don't know what the other one is.

S2K Fan,

If you don't get the grind, don't get the TSB done. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

One of the TSB's is for clutch noise and the other one is for the gear grind. If you're clutch isn't making weird noises either, I wouldn't get it fixed.

I haven't had either TSB done on my car, and I hope I never have to.
