Tron legacy shouldn't be put under trance since trance is a form of electronic dance music.

Tron legacy was more electronica based, since it isn't made with emphasize on dancing like electronic dance music is.

Tron legacy is still a bad a$$ soundtrack though, esp when coupled with the scenes it's suppose to represent

There is lots of good trance out there, unfortunately over the past few years most of the big Dj's seem to have lost their originality and touch to approaching the music, also a lot of euro bop has been mixed in
There are still plenty gems out there.

Not Trance but progressive

That's why it's truly scary. In one corner, we have the original/ongoing EDM movement screeching to a halt (sadly). Producers/DJs/industry folks getting old and moving on with their lives. In the opposite corner we've got absolutely terrible US dubstep producers throwing ear garbage out there and people like it. Dubstep in the US is 'new', and unfortunately garnering all the attention traditional EDM once demanded. Plus, hispters and scenesters love it. Or pretend to. And that's A-OK with me. I'm just glad they didn't tarnish my beloved jungle during its prime

Yeah that kind of WAHHW AHH BRAHHH BREHHHHHH dubstep is just trash, absolute trash. Shitty production is rampant in dubstep. How the f@#k are you supposed to dance to something that sounds like there are a bunch of machines overheating??? This is just kids doing shit they think is cool, trying to top each other. It's horrible.

There is some good dubstep out there:

But yeah I feel bad for EDM. Everyone plays some variation of house now it's quite boring.
