Hey, do you like dubstep? Trance?
Dubstep is literally the biggest pile of talentless shit I've heard in a long time.
Trance is also pretty boring, its all just so formulatic and generic. OK if you're pilled off your tits I guess but musically both are pretty dire.

One could say that about all music groups. Country music is just a bunch of Tennesseans complaining to the beat of a fiddle. Rock music is the same a lot of the time just to the beat of an electric guitar, or they are screaming so much at times I really don't know what they are saying. Opera is in another language. Rap is all about writing your own lyrics about disregarding females and acquiring currency to a beat that you paid someone for. Dubstep and Trance is just a remix to a song that was once popular that most people have to be on drugs to enjoy. Hardcore rock...well might as well be in another language. So just sit back and enjoy what you like. No one is making you listen to what we like.
US dubstep is really......lacking. Oddly enough, I feel it's much more 'busy' than its UK counterpart. As much as I dislike to spread the rhetoric that these EDM genres change when crossing the pond.....if you're into the music, it's undeniable. House, "hardcore" (a term thrown about with wreckless abandon), and now dubstep are viewed totally different depending on where you're at, really.
I played some tracks from Martyn (quintessential UK dub) for my co-worker who claims to love dubstep after having just 'found' it. And he immediately said, "Well, I guess I don't like dubstep, then." He, obviously, favors the slammy, in-your-f@#king-face style (US) compared to the more minimalist, mix-friendly styles popular in the UK/Europe.
Sometimes, it's better to edumacate than to playa-hate =)
