Hockey Content: Obvious dirty check by Boston's Chara
This is honestly one of the nastiest hits I've seen as of late. Boston Bruins player Zdeno Chara basically plows Montreal's Max Pacioretty's head into the turnbuckle and causes sever injury(severe concussion, broken neck)
Now, I myself saw this as intentional as you can see in the pic below of Chara's glove placement pushing Pacioretty's face into the way of the turnbuckle plus he obviously waited to make the check at the right moment.
Question is, should this be left to the NHL or should police be involved(because it looks like thats where its headed)?

IMO police should never be involved in something like this. Even though it looks obvious to me, there's no way a DA can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was intentional. It's a sport and people get hurt. Let the league handle it.
With that said, that was a nasty hit and as I said... looks obviously intentional to me.

I agree 100%. I think it's the leagues job to decide what should be done here. I dont see this as a criminal offense but merely a HUUUUUUUUGE display of misconduct on Chara's part.

It's a shame, but by no means should this be a police matter. I think you guys are trying too hard to see intent here. I think it was unfortunate timing, I do not believe that he would intentionally almost kill someone.
Side question: what about that thing he hit is a turn-buckle?
