If the fly ball hits a bird and drops in the field, it's a fair ball.
If a fan drops something, it's interference......
I really want to know how this one was called.
It may have been a ball, but were runners allowed to advance?
Does anyone know?????

Anyone remember when Dave Winfield (when he was still a Yankee ) killed the seagull in Toronto with a pop-fly ball?? The entire nation of Canada wanted him jailed . . .

I remember that!, It was crazy, The city of Toronto had a price on his head All the animal lovers were saying how he did it on purpose, everyone else thought it was hilarious, Poor Dave couldn't wait to get the hell outta dodge

Your right he did say he tred to hit the bird, but then in the press conference he summed it pretty well. "You try and hit a bird with a ball and bat, I couldn't do it agian if I tried"...But he did try, and he did hit it!
