I switched jobs in october with $35k in my 401k plan. it is all with Putnum in "growth and income" type funds... nothing too dangerous....

I now have $24k, and I am guess lucky I didn't bother contributing any more into it.

Luckily (thank you CG!!!) i took about $10k out of my stock portfolio to buy 1/2 of the SHOGUN....which that same $10k would be worth about $5k by now (instead I have an ugly little car).

Who would guess that CISCO is trading @$13 or INTC @$22!!!!!!!!

 

Now (or soon) is a good time to buy Cisco...IMO.

 

Don't panic, don't sell; relax, you're young; the market will rise again.

 

with all of the daytraders hopping in-out-in-out-in-out, I personally am not expecting the market to be heading upward like it did in the past. online $8 trading has made the market a game for people..... I just don't see long term growth... even big companies like EDS, Microsoft, etc.. are taking huge hits.
