The car is real not photoshopped....I saw it in Detroit a couple years back. It actual is two tone and from what I can remember Argento Viva means "Quick Silver" in Italian (I could be wrong). It was very small and low to the ground, even more so than the S2000. From what i remeber it was Pinifarina's version of what Honda was working on at the time (the SSM/S2000 prototype). From what I understand Honda has used Pinifarina as a design consultant for years...and everybody says Honda's have no imagination when it comes to styling!
I actually hoped at the time Honda would choose this design over the in-house version (our S2000). I think Honda pits its design studios against each other.... but now that I have seen this car over time - it really is to similar to a Boxster - the interior even in production version would have been more luxury- oriented than driver-oriented, and the top (a la SLK) has funny proportions...
I still like it but am glad Honda went with our car instead

I found the whole story in a concept car "coffee table" book. This concept was too similar to the existing SSM to continue development. The interior trim is actually teak and there are some wood structural components as well. The silver metal is polished to a chrome finish. Some good info on the SSM as well. No S2000 details due to the early publication date of the book although it mentioned possible production was about 4 or 5 years out at the time.
