This picture I took of Crescent Street in Montreal during the F1 Grand Prix of Canada last year got me thinking how cool it would look to have some Honda racing flags and/or banners decorating my garage around my S2000:

Does anyone know where you can buy Honda racing flags like those above? I know you could probably have them custom-made but that would be pretty expensive. I suspect you can buy them, or buy something very similar to them, off-the-shelf if you know where.

Does anyone know where to buy?

I've got a few sponsor banners from different races and I have one suggestion: always carry a sharp pocket knife and a backpack!

Some banners are in less conspicuous locations. (The one you've shown above would be pretty hard to snag!) At many races, they start taking down the banners immediately after the main event, even if there's other races scheduled afterwards. Or worse yet, someone will get there before you. Because of this, late in the day the day before the main event is often a good time to get one. It also helps to scope out your intended banner to see what type of authority is in the area.

It also helps if you have a photographer's pass or some other "higher authority" type of access, it will help you get closer to the prime banners.

As far as actually buying them somewhere, I don't have a clue.

I found this 12' x 3' Honda Banner is available for purchase through Podium Finish Race Gear Designs

At $75 it's a bit pricey but, for the S2000 enthusiast who has everything else, it sure is a nice addition to the garage!

Here's the link to order:

I just love this stuff. Political comments and non PC jokes are forbidden, but promotion of theft is O.K. Go figure.
