BTW, I guess I should give some props to the Ferrari guys if we're talking open wheel racing, but anyone could win with Michael Schumacher

Our own F20c is a derivation of the Indy motor.
Yeah sure, pass the crack pipe.

How many cars in the field were powered by Honda?

I had been told by a Honda person, (apparently wrongly), that the F20c was roughly 1/2 of the CART V8, and that that the Indy motor was a further enhancement. I repeated it without confirming. Open mouth, insert foot.

Thanks for the clarifications.

The F20c is an amazing little motor none-the-less, and the sweep at Indy gives us Honda fans something to cheer about anyway. Go advertising team! You've got me fooled.

Are your sure about this? I thought the new engines were co-developed for the 3.5 liters spec. I'm not to sure of this myself. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't follow Indy.

I don't know about the Honda's Indy engine, but their Grand Prix F1 engines are built by Honda itself.

Wait a minute, I do know, Honda also builds its engines for Indy. In fact, they also supply them to others.

An older article, but it does state the contract goes through 2006 FWIW, no matter what article says, it is possible Honda has more "advisors" at Illmor than in the past. We all know how they hate losing. However, I don't see how they could ever share any real know how with someone they compete against in F1.

I was surprised to find out that Dave Letterman owned a racing team. Congrats to his team since they won 1st place!
