Honda's newest VTEC engine...
Honda takes the wraps off it's new 2002 bikes officially Sept. 19. The pictures here are off the Italian Honda site I believe. There are a few here that have VFR's and I don't think that anyone of us would categorize this bike as "dang slow". It is not a super bike like an R1 or GSXR 1000 and was never intended to be. As I've posted in other threads this bike is Honda's technology flagship. It is not, and I don't think ever will be, it's performance flagship. Hey Chris..
Airgate, this was indeed the bike I was talking about at dinner, and yes I have been hanging out at the Z06 site.
Sorry to hear of your clutch problem.

That new VFR with the VTEC is definitely yummy... already planning on having it has my next ride when I want something a little more practical!
you can read more about it at http://www.motorcyclenews.com along with other 2002 bikes.
Here are some pics from rides the last two weekends... BTW, anyone going to the Guggehiem "Art of Motorcycle" show next weekend? I'm riding out from CA with the local BMW store.

cheers,

Loki-
Beautiful, beautiful pictures of your RC51.
A good friend of mine is looking into getting one right now- he mumbled something about $9100, out the door for a new MY2001. Chicago area dealerships are really hurting- now is the time to buy...

Ioki,
As alway, I hate you
No not really but I always appreciate the pictures. They truely do say a thousands words. I'm really intrested in seeing the mix in GP. Several decades ago there was a class called Formula 750 and F1 bikes. Two strokes and fourstrokes raced side by side. It was exciting stuff. I think that this just might bring some numbers in the form of privateers back into the sport like there was in the late 70 and 80's. The late Joey Dunlop raced this class for Honda Britian.
