So a friend of mine and I go to hooters to have lunch. We get there at 11am right when they open so we can park up front. So we get the space right next to the door and go in. Two waitresses are at the door and one of them was like hey nice car. I said thanks. She said, how much was it? I said $35k ($32k + taxes). She said, pshh...a trans-am is $40k. I had to bite my lip to keep my mouth shut.

I should of said, yeah and your a hooters girl making $2.13 an hour, but I was nice and went and got a table.

They DO seem to carry all their "grey matter" in front of them.

Because in every catagorey except straight line acceleration and price (for a WS6 anyway) an S2000 > trans-am.

 

I dated a girl from hooters once.

She wasn't the brightest girl in the world, good thing she was hot.

 

Seems to me the girl was just pokin fun and you bit pretty hard. More power to her. Fish on.

 

I rarely tell people how much I paid for my car. For one, it's really none of their business, and for another, anyone who knows cars knows roughly how much one is. If a non-car person wants to know, are they going to be impressed by the dollar value? If so, do you really want to associate with this person?

I have my theory on the source of this particular waitresses' knowledge of cars, but I won't go there...
