Has anyone swapped houses? I have seen links on craigslist for people wanting to swap houses and have always been curious how "well" it works.

I just did a google search for "houseswap" and it looks like there are whole websites dedicated to this.

Has anyone on here ever used qraigslist or another website to swap houses? I am curious how your expirence was.

I would swap houses with an S2ker.... but something bothers me with the idea of swapping houses with a total stranger - I wouldn't trust them.

I am intrigued with the idea of swapping houses and would like to do it someday - from a vacation standpoint... it has to be the cheapest way to go... but I just can't convince myself.

Interesting concept, I'd never heard of it before. I'd imagine that if a person has a mortgage, their lender would have to be heavily involved.

I know people who've done it, usually swapping between France and Ireland. They've never had a problem. After all, it's a house swap, not just a rental. Neither party wants to come home to a trashed house.
