That pic was taken at Fragapalooza 2003, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The girls in the Starship Troopers outfits are the "PlanetSide Girls" that Sony brought in from their promotional department because Sony Online Entertainment sponsored Fragapalooza by giving out approximately 1100 retail box copies of PlanetSide, as well as frisbees and having the models to have your pic with ^_^ The girls basically go to Sony promotion events and promote Everquest, PlanetSide and Star Wars: Galaxies, and get dressed up appropriately for each game 
And yes, those ARE Morita Rifles from the Starship Troopers movie, although they are the ones the extras got (ie rubber casing)
