How to deal with...
Here's the story:
A female coworker of mine had to have some surgery so her replacement for the time being is my bosses bosses wife. I get this feeling that she is spying on what I do. She will walk around the side of my desk and literally look at my computer screen to see what the hell I'm doing. It really pisses me off because I feel like she's spying so she can go tell her husband what's going on @ work and what he people do here. I really want to ask her when she does this what the hell is she doing but I'm sure I'd be 2 shits from history if I did. Does anyone else have to deal with this kinda crap in the work place? I've also heard her say that she's a "good ole girl" in various statements along with some kinda/can be taken as racist, homophobic, and sexist statements. I can hardly tolerate the fact that she's the bosses bosses wife but to add in that she's a bible thumper and closed minded kinda pushes me over the edge.

Well, every time I noticed her coming over I would turn fully to her and ask her what I can help her with, giving her 100% of your attention. That is polite and still clearly shows the interruption cost of her interest. If it were my 2nd-level boss' wife I would go out of my way not to piss her off either, unless he told me to

well, taken from her point of view, her husband is paying you therefore your time at work is supposed to be productive.
I noticed that your "lunch" hour (your time when you can spend on S2ki) is very long indeed.

Seriously, if you were not doing anything wrong, then you'd have nothing to worry about. Of course some times rules made are stupid or too strict, but they are there. Some times you can change the rules and some times you are stuck.

In this case, work hard, and be extra friendly to the point of being insipid. If she comes snooping around, tell her that you're ". . . here to make you, myself, and this whole team successful and to increase shareholder value." Then proceed to ask her, "What can I do to aid in your success?"
If she's anything less that squeaky clean under the surface, she'll not want you know what she's up to, and back off. If she's actually there to do work, she'll be a bit more agreeable. It's the "Children of The Corn" trick, and it works well with some folks.
Negotiating a-holes and mitigating a-hole behavior is not only a necessity in business, but well-rewarded if you can do it successfully.
