Default How Do I Get Rid of the Pop-ups!?

It was okay before, but now it's almost a hundred of them everyday!!

I don't know anyone who knows how to fix the problem, but I'm getting very annoyed by them.

Thanks in advance.

Just search around for some free ad removers or something, or stop looking at all that porn

I'm talking about these message boxes or spam thingies that just pop up all the time, and no I'm not into internet porn. In face most of them don't have anything to do with porn. A lot of them come from companies trying to sell programs that block them, and some are just empty.

Seriously.

I'll post a pic of what they look like in a few minutes when another one pops up.

If your running XP and a broadband connection then thats the problem. do this to stop them

To turn off the messenger service in XP:

Click on the Start button and open the control panel.
Open the Performance and Maintenance control panel and go to Administrative Tools.
Now double-click on Services, then scroll to Messenger.
Double-click Messenger and click Stop to stop the service.
Change the startup type to Disabled

Go here to look at some examples

I've been using "Bayden's Popup Popper".
