How do they answer the phone?

This is the reason Enco changed it's name to Exxon when it went international many years ago. Enco was some sort of expletive in either Chinese or Japanese, so they researched until they found a totally benign word, EXXON. It means absolutely nothing in any language!

No need to answer the phone

Yeah, my friend Amro from Sudan says my name means stinky in Arabic. And yes, I do use deodorant, plenty of it .

P.s. To everyone else, How can you tell that a picture has been Photoshopped? I must be blind, but I can't find evidence to prove otherwise.

I've heard it alleged that it means "stalled car". Seems a bit of a stretch to me but "en" could be "engine" and "co" (or "ko") could be short for "kowareta" meaning broken. "ensuto" ("engine stop") is the word I have heard however. I've also heard it alleged that there is a rude interpretation but I have no idea what that could be. Maybe Takashi knows?

Well, the enco word sounds very close to a different word in Japanese that is slang for sh*t. Not sure if this is the reason why they changed their name or not. Maybe Takashi does know.

Any of our Chinese members know if enco means anything bad in Chinese??
