Default how do you help someone who is a knucklhead? $$$

how does someone change from a person who spends every dime on stupid shit (dogs, bling tones, etc...) into a normal semi frugal person? is that possible?

a relative of mine drves me nuts.... I would like to help her but every time I do she buys dog, plasma tv or something equally dumb...... when i had invisioned the $ going towards something useful.

Apparently she has lots of credit card debt, etc....

I bought her "the millionaire next door" book and within a few weeks she went out and traded in her 2006 Scion XB for a ****ing 2007 Tundra that gets 12-14mpg!!! That was the opposite of what the book says...

Should she just claim bankruptcy and start over? any insight? I think she is banking on a home run on a business idea at some point, or just waiting for an inheritance..ahah... hopefully joking about that last one...

some people will never learn. Just hope she doesn't depend on you to keep her lifestyle up.

It was a good try by getting her the book but it won't help if she won't read it. You can't help her if she can't help herself.
