oh wait i figured it out its after dinnertime so they dont call anymore


but seriously, telemarketers suck ass and if thats what they do for a living then i do pity them. i m still trying to come up with a clever way to telemarket the telemarketer. the best plan i was able to come up with was pretending to have Terret's(sp??) syndrome or having a major case of alzeihmers(sp??) god my spelling sucks ass.........

I just got a call from one of my credit card companies.... and it is because of this very thread that I decided NOT to immediately say that I wasn't interested. Instead I said, yeah this is Steve. He went on to tell me about credit protection if I get laid off etc. The usual. He asked me if I agreed that credit rating is extremely important today. This of course gave me an opening. I said "yes, but I'll tell you right now that I'm not interested in anything you could possibly offer." He sounded surprised! He asked "oh how come?" I said in a very very small, quiet, tired, depressed voice: "because I'm kinda getting tired of telemarketers and credit card companies calling me every 5 minutes".... He then sounded hurt... and was unfortunately forced to go on with his required closing statement (they're for me + phone # to reach him if I have any questions etc). Poor guy.... Telemarketers are people too.

You know... my mom is one of those vibrant personalities that makes friends with the most unlikely people. The last time a telemarketer called my mom, she blew up and told him off, and they ended up talking for 4 hours straight about anything and everything. Funny huh?

"I and my company just declared bankruptcy yesterday" usually works like a charm.
