Tell her you live in London too and you want to pick it up in person instead

A secretary who recently retired from the firm I work for called one of her former co-workers and said she was in contact with a Nigerian prince who needed help transferring money out of his country.
Everyone at the firm had heard of this scam and we all told her it was a fake - we even sent links to Snopes.com and several other websites that exposed the scam. SHE WOULDN'T BELIEVE US. She insisted this guy was legit and she wouldn't change her mind.
She's not a stupid lady - she's of normal intelligence, but her greed made her stupid. I don't know what ended up happening with her - I'm sure she caught on eventually, but damn she was completely ignoring the obvious in the hope of getting rich.
How dumb do scammers think we are? - they probably know that most people won't fall for their scam - but there's always the gullible few who make the scammer's efforts worthwhile.
