T1 is only 1.5mbps which will only give 187.5kb/s downloads. that guy is getting 5391.625 kb/s which means they give every student free reign of all the bandwidth and don't limit them to 10mbps or so.. this will make for a shittastic connection during the school year if its run like so.

Anywho. My old connection was 10mbps fibre up and down. On those speed tests I would see around 9mbps or just over 1100kb/s down and up.

My new con is 4mbps/512kbps down up, but I see almost 5mbps down and 764 up during every day use..

Download Speed: 3764 kbps (470.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 430 kbps (53.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

max i've been able to verify is 610kb/s down or 4.88mbps free bandwidth owns

Comcast cable modem at work. That's actually a lot faster than I expected it to be. Some of you guys are running crazy-ass hookups! Sideways, who the hell is your service through? The CIA?
