Look in the penny saver mail that usually comes with the local paper. There are plenty of electricians that can do the same job for less than half. Good luck!

it's pretty simple. first you need to figure out which pair of wires will give you dial tone. most of the time sbc will use the blue&white/white&blue pair for line one. so if you only have one line take the blue and white pair and hook those up to the red & green terminals on the back of the phone jack. i hope this helps.

Yeah but it's minimal.

Phone wire is 4 wires. RED< YELLOW< GREEN < BLACK and the jacks are all marked with the same colors. It's as easy as connecting the speakers to your home stereo.

I saw that they used the blue wire, and I wired up the blue (to green), and the white/blue stripes color one to red, no dial-tone.

Thank you all for the help! Did I screw up anywhere? It's just 2 wires but it's frustrating. I actually tried all 3 combos: green/green-white, orange/orange-white, blue/blue-white and none have a tone, so I'm on the phone with SBC right now trying to see if they can get a tone at the network interface deal outside the house...

Plug your phone in at the NIB at the side of the house to see if you have dial tone.

SBC tested and said NIB has dial-tone, so I must not have the wiring right
