...it took me 26 years to meet the girl of my dreams. I figure that is waiting a while.

(*Getting married to her in June.....WOOOOO-HOOOO!!!)

Me and my gf had semi-history during my 2nd year of college, and then she went away for school and got a bf, but came back in 2001 and we started hanging out again and addressed our past issues, baggage, etc. - and we've been together almost for 3 years.

We're going through a little bit of a rough patch right now due to my lack of sensitivity/judgment/buttholeness, but I'm hoping that we can reconcile and progress - she's a great girl to me.

I didn't wait, the girl was dating someone else, however, I told her she may be my perfect match and she would miss out on that if she didn't at least go out once with me. She agrred to one date. We have now been married for 16 years and have two beautiful boys.

By the way, she was not so keen on her boyfriend at the time (I would never had known that unless I asked her out)

I didn't wait either. She wasn't single (I'll leave it at that). I only waited long enough to convince her to take her clothes off. Been with her ever since.

I feel like I'm going to wait another 40 years, but it isn't a problem for me

I wouldn't wait. If the person realizes I'm the right one and they're with the wrong person, they'll break it off. I don't think I could put myself out there to "wait" for someone...
