Default How much $ should I ask for?

I'm being hired as a management consultant for a short period of time (that MBA is beginning to pay off ), but I have no idea what I should be asking for for the project. Can anyone chime in?

Thank you!

You should check www.salary.com to determine what the salary range is for that type of position in your geographic location.

Congratulations!

I am still actively seeking employment and can hardly wait to get back to work again.

Just a word of advice from, well - me! The first person to mention a number loses - avoid giving them a figure until you get an idea of their 'budget' or what they're hoping to spend. Get this info any way you can - 'accidentally' leave a $ off of some correspondence, ask first and be bold, or use some inside info if you've got a hook-up.

Congrats on the job. A good consultant never reveals his rate, just estimates it. I already talke to you a little about it, but I'm glad that you got a job now.
