How much $ should I ask for?
I'm being hired as a management consultant for a short period of time (that MBA is beginning to pay off

You should check www.salary.com to determine what the salary range is for that type of position in your geographic location.

Just a word of advice from, well - me! The first person to mention a number loses - avoid giving them a figure until you get an idea of their 'budget' or what they're hoping to spend. Get this info any way you can - 'accidentally' leave a $ off of some correspondence, ask first and be bold, or use some inside info if you've got a hook-up.
