how much was GAS when you first started driving?

I think it was around $.95 a gallon. I know I did purchase it around that price in my life time. that was around 1988-1992

It was around $1.65/gal back in 2003.

The super Sunoco 260 was 25-30 cents a gallon, regular was usually around 22-25 cents, every once in a while there would be gas wars and regular could be found for 14 cents a gallon around Detroit.

BTW I got my first driver's license in 1966.

Oh man, I remember it was around 89 cents a gallon for regular and like a buck for premium. Unreal.

about a buck or so. The lowest I've ever bought was 85 cents for regular.

i have absolutely no idea what i was paying back in NY but when i moved to florida in '03 i was paying $1.19 and nows its $2.95...i think when i first started in '99 i was payin $1.1X in NY also
