Default How to prepare curry?

Well I have been dying for some good curry since I got back from London a few months ago, and I can't find anything good in the restaurants here, so I have decided to try to make my own. Everytime I try to look up a recipe I am drowned by the seemingly hundreds of different kinds and ways to prepare it. I am just looking for a simple yellow chicken curry over rice, so I picked up a package of curry spice while I was at the international market tonight. Now my question is... what do I do with it?? Should I make a sauce out of it? Should I dredge the chicken in a flour/curry spice mix, then cook it in oil in a saucepan? How do I even make a sauce?

If anyone can give me some pointers, or direct me to a website that could, i would greatly appreciate it!

Buy this and follow the instructions on the box.
Its easy to make, I followed the instructions and enjoyed.

Add Water, add carrot, potato, onion, beef stew meat or chicken that has been saute in a golden brown color then add the blocks of curry from the package and boil until it thickens, remember to keep stirring.

We use a product called PATAK'S mild curry paste, but you can use whatever strength you like.

Here's their recipe:

1 medium onion diced
2 tbsp vegetable oil (we use olive oil)
8 oz of cubed chicken breast
3-4 tbsp of PATAK'S Curry paste
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup of water

Here's their website: PATAK'S

Uh huh, "medium hot..." I had a Korean girlfriend for 2 years, so I know that anything "medium hot" or hotter is a first class ticket to mud butt.

But I'll try it anyway!
