How is your weekend so far?
It's a Saturday afternoon, I just finished cleaning my room and parts of the house -- going to head to the gym in a few minutes. I also realized that a $100+ portfolio book that I bought can't be put together because the pages don't line up properly. Time to trek back down to Paperhaus and spank some sales reps.

Took the kid to a friend's house across town to play. She loves riding in the S, so that was fun.
Got a hair cut, then fixed the regulator on my propane burner... gonna brew an IPA tomorrow! Woot!

Lets see, yesterday, Friday, I woke up at 9, ran errands for school stuff, was in the computer lab at 11 with a cup of coffee and didn't leave until 6.
Today was just as good. Up at 7:30, in front of the computer by 9. Finished ~5 and made the twice-weekly kinkos trip only to sit there for an hour because they haven't gotten any smarter since monday (sorry to anyone who works at kinkos here).
As my friend just put it, "What a way to spend a Saturday."
I love school. From now until December, I should average ~40 hours/week at the computer plus class time. Final critique on Dec. 7.
(Of course, you have to realize even though I bitch, I really enjoy my line of work.)

Hmm, last night I assembled a four-drawer chest of drawers from IKEA, and moved all our guest room furniture to the new guest room.
Today we had a "newborn baby" class from 9am to 1:30, came home, blew leaves for an hour, and assembled two more pieces of IKEA furniture.
Then I hauled our secondhand crib down from the attic and tried putting it together, but realised it's missing five pieces of essential hardware. Time for a trip to the baby store!
Now I have to go re-arrange the stuff in the attic that my mother-in-law kindly stacked in all the wrong places
Tomorrow is the surprise baby shower for my wife, which I think is still a surprise. A busy weekend, but a fun one.
