Here are some pictures I took of the radar on my TV of a storm heading right towards me (I live in Bixby). This storm has at least one tornado and could spawn other ones. Thought I would post some pictures in case it gets me and I don't get a chance to later. The sirens are going off as I speak and I'm about to grab the dog in case we need to take cover. Wish me luck!
I was lucky and the worst of the storm went about three miles south of my house. This storm was spawning tornadoes from Oklahoma City and past Tulsa (more than 100 miles) which is very unusual. It's rare for a storm to keep up that energy for that long of a period. For example the storm that hit the Oklahoma City area earlier this week and did quite a bit of damage was heading right towards me and was about 20 miles away when it just disappeared. It didn't even rain at my house and it was a nasty storm on the radar right before it disappeared.
Luckily I have a garage for my cars so I don't have to worry about hail though I did joke with my Dad last night about whether I should put the top up on the S that was parked inside the garage in case a tornado ripped the roof off of my garage.
Glad to see you made it through another storm. I always put the top up anyway if I know a storm is coming, even if I park it in the garage. You never know!
