The reason why most people got downshifted was because the number of posts required to upshift was increased. So if you were in gear 6, you dropped to gear 5 and so forth. Heh, other than which in gears ... There are labels like Moderator, Managing Director, Community Organizer etc. I don't know the full works but oh well. It's just for identification purposes like everything in this world.

I was one of the first people to notice that lvs2k was in 6th gear. Those were the good old days. I didn't know that it took 5000 posts to get up there now. Damn, that's a lot.
