Default I am so F***ING PISSED off!

While doing 80 on I-5 South, I was cut off by an Old man driving his Carrera (Old 80s-ish) Who then flipped me off and aparently said something like "f***ing a**h0le" (my lady was lip reading I guess)

So.... I followed him. When he stopped at some Albertsons, I asked him what his problem was and why he flipped me off. his response: "I didn't like your driving."

WTF is wrong with driving in a lane @80!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made 2 lane changes with NO TRAFFIC IN FRONT OR BEHIND.

I told him that I didn't appriciate him disrespecting me and yada-yada. He asked if "that" was a Honda so I said yes. Then he asked what was under it and I replied "a very powerful engine." It was nice to see him try to mock me when he KNEW that it was. Anyways, he left and I was SO DAMN CLOSE to keying his car but by that time my lady was very scared and I kinda figured he had my plates in his head from tailing me after he cut me off (he moved over a bit after the cut-off.)

In the end, no one got hurt and my lady was soooooo pleased I didn't get out of the car but I feel like a BIG F***ING COWARD. THIS is why I have decided to carry a small can of paint w/me whenever I go places. No one f***s with me from now on.

Oh yeah, got a piece of gum on my real wheel well from driving later that day. Woo-f***'n-hoo. WD-40 took it right off though.

my first instinct is to fvck him up bad...then my brain kicks in and tells me someone much meaner than me will do much worse than i can in very little time if he doesn't fix his attitude.

My first instinct is that if you gave this guy anymore than 0.3 seconds of thought it was too much. I have to wonder why you bothered and think your lady might have been a bit more scared of you than him. Think about anger management.

Just my 2 sheckles, you asked.

People get killed over stupid stuff like this. Yeah, a lot of people are jerks but why risk your life or your lady friend's over somebody who obviously just looking for trouble. You said theirs no damage done, so everything is fine. Don't waste your energy harboring anger, it will only hurt you.

Let it go!

I agree! If I was to react like this in Chicago, I would be dead or in jail before I could even leave the alley way that I park at the end of!

Relax, it's no big deal. There are I's and A's everywhere. There actually seems to be an abundance of them in Chicago, however. It's really aggravating how some people have so little regard for the rules of the road and for other people's rights. It really pisses me off, but at the end of the day, you just gotta realize that most people suck and that's just how life is. It's jackasses like this who make the 2% of the US population that is actually worth something look even better. Make sure to stay in that 2%.

I tend to blow them off, it just is not worth getting upset over. The world is full of a$$wholes and there is no need to lower yourself to their standards.

Sometimes I surprise them and smile, wave, and thank them. You should see the faces on most people, they just do not get it.

Enjoy your S2000 and do not let idiots bother you, you will live longer.

Some guys are crazy and won't back down on anything. They'll kill somebody before they'll let anybody disrespect them. Watch out for those guys. They're out there, and they're packing.

I don't really get it. He didn't like your driving and he flipped you off. So what? Didn't you ever do that?

You followed him and asked why, so he told you. You asked for that one. Were you expecting some sort of apology?

And the whole disrespect thing. Don't confuse deference with respect. Respect only comes from those who know you well enough to give it. Street respect is really nothing but punk etiquette. It's about who is afraid of whom.

Your instinct is to vandalize his car. That would have been your loss. IMHO you shouldn't waste any psychic energy on this unimportant moment in your life!

I would have blown off the whole thing...wait, he never would have passed me in the first place! heheh

As someone once said to me "Respect is earned, not given".....While I agree somewhat to what he said, it has to be given sometimes...you don't just disrespect your boss because he makes you mad, you still respect him because of his higher authority...

But, in all seriousness, I would have probably blown off the whole thing as some idiot on a power trip.
