I saw it on Speedvision today, and I still don't get it. Is that supposed to be fun?

 

I remember seeing something similar on Lewis Black's Back in Black feature on the Daily Show some time ago - it was more than lawnmower racing though, it was well...they had a vintage grand prix start of sorts - they'd run across the track, grab a pig and then jump in their mowers and race around. I just dont get these things!

 

saw something similar on espn2 once. shovel races, race down hill in the snow on a shovel. and people with modified shovels to go faster.. couch shovels.. motorcycle shovels.. rocket ship shovels.. guess alky can make anything seem fun.

 

Yes! They're hilarious! The incongruity of it all just floors me. The first time I saw that I laughed so hard I had trouble breathing. I wish it was shown more often.

 

What's not to understand? They've got internal combustion engines don't they? Race 'em!

Yeah I saw that on Speedvision also.......one the racers is Tony Stewart's (IRL, NASCAR) father!

 

Racing is racing, it's sort of like a go cart, well sort of.
