Did you really think you weren't breaking any laws being in a car with a criminal whilst he commited or was about to commit a crime? The only way you could get out scot free is if you can prove that you had no idea your buddy was about to commit a crime and had no way of getting out of the position whilst the crime was being commited.

The driver of the get-away car gets charged too! Its guilt by association...or maybe what was in your possestion too....

I am a lawyer. I don't kow anything about your case, nor do I really want to. However, your statements made on this forum may be discoverable. I really think your probably do not want to risk discovery of your version of the facts of your case by making them public on this forum, at least until your case is resolved....in other word think about "Lawyering Up" and not saying much without the advise of counsel. Just a bit of unsolicited advice...good luck and I hope everything turns out well.

 

And im suprised thats all the piggys charged you with, usually they woulda stuck in another 15-20 charges for the free box of kripsy kremes and coffee mug, maybe they charged 4 or 5 by standers too because they were in the area
