It goes like this, society, especially ones where majority rule, set up regulations for living in it. Some people call them laws. You have to follow them or go to jail. Laws like "Don't sell drugs."

Some people say "Whats wrong with selling drugs?" Besides the fact that it is illegal, it cause crap loads of problems and over crowds those jails. Its not enough that the drug selling is illegal. How about the gangs that go around murdering people over drug sale territory. How about the addicts that hold up liqour stores or gas stations to get money to buy drugs. Or assualt people. Or break into homes and cars. All to get money to buy drugs. Or prostitute themselves, and spread disease. Or catch one that will eventually kill them. Or the problems it causes within families. Crack babies. Need I go on?

You like to smoke weed. We get it. Fine. Your choice. I could care less.

But to suggest "Hey you people against a selling drugs need to get a life!" is both immature and stupid.

Maybe you are one of those people who thinks weed is totally fine. If that is the case and you had a daughter in junior high would you give her some of yours?

If the answer is "no", I bet you were smoking about that time so what would the big deal be. If your answer is "yes" then you have proved my prior point.
i am not a proponent of victimless crimes. the war on drugs is pointless. the more you enforce it, the more "crime" there is. its an endless battle and a waste of money. if selling drugs were legal, there would be no gangs fighting over territory or overcrowded prisons. Roche and Pfizer sell some of the strongest drugs on the planet, but since they pay off our government they can legally sell and market these drugs on TV!!!!11!!!! there is no difference between Roche and Pablo escobar, except one pays taxes and lobbyist.

Would you give your daughter in junior high cigarettes and booze? probably not. but how about ritalin and adderall? many americans do take it. little do many americans know that, chemically, the difference between meth and adderall is very minute, one is created in a garage and the other is creaded by a RX company due to regulatory forces. one gets bad publicity and the other is socially acceptable...

in our society it is okay to sell drugs, as long as you pay taxes and the gov officials. its not okay to sell drugs if uncle sam does not get a cut. the question of good vs bad and right vs wrong can be manipulated through marketing and brainwashing.

think green and grow your mind.

My comments were in reference to people logging on to a website, seeing a thread like this, and providing their useless opinion. The OP has a problem. It's hilarious because half the tough guys in here go cry in another thread about their ex's and whether or not some 15 year old girl likes them. God forbid someone posts something on this thread. Street racing causes more accidents and deaths than drugs like marijuana, so why not go bash on everyone in the street encounters thread?

The reason you have gang violence associated with drugs is because you make HARMLESS substances ILLEGAL, singling out one group of people with a mindset capable of selling drugs for a living. Also, we are not talking about heroine or cocaine here. There is a HUGE difference...

IDK how you turned this into a personal attack and whether or not I'd give my daughter drugs... There is such a thing as responsible drug use, which I'd say 85% of all pot smokers fall into. The other 15% get themselves arrested. They don't rob people. They don't assault or kill. Alcohol is far more dangerous, so are you going to leave alcohol around your house???

Yeah.

Ritalin can be snorted and provides a "cocaine" high, yet its prescribed to millions of kids. How many parents leave bottles of alcohol and beer in their homes?

And vader1 wants to grill me on whether or not I'll give pot to my daughter. I've already quit myself. I obviously have restraint, do you?

i have no restraint, i suffer from bongaloid fever. side effects include frequent jack in the box and in and out trips. i wonder if there is a drug i can take for it. oh yea its called being broke lol.

ritalin is for kidz, adderall is better than coke for 2 reasons, its pure and it tastes sugary in the back of your throat. it also lasts a lot longer and is cheaper...so i've heard.

Its all good dude. Perhaps I misinterpreted your point. I thought you were saying selling drugs was no big deal. I think the OP will reap what he sows.

As far as victimless crimes, go visit a rehab center. I was touring a prison and sat in on a group of inmates talking in a treatment class about how they were productive citizens until they tried meth. (this prison had a bunch of inmates who were 40+, white rural farmers who got bored, tried meth, ruined their lives)

Do I think pot is on a different level than heroin or coke. Absolutely. But many people use it and do nothing else. Many others try it and then want to try other more powerful stuff. Therein lies the problem. Got to draw a line somewhere.

I got lots of friends that sit around their own place and smoke weed and I really don't care. Its the ones driving around stoned that bother me.

do i think there shoud be regulation, absolutely.

ever attend an AA meeting or dui class? i am sure its the same ol story, same sad song.

i dunno about driving around stoned being a huge impairment...i drive stoned all the time and have never been in an accident and i have never had a ticket. *knock on wood*

i am more concerned with old folks on medication driving around on legal drugs.

its unfair to assume because one is stoned it impairs one's ability to drive. its a baseless assumption.

i agree the op got what was coming, he took a gamble and lost. just means you need to double your next bet right?
And there go my regrets for not living in northern California.
