My company was disvolved and absorbed into our parent company as of today. The transfer will take a few weeks but as of today I have a new job, new boss, new office, ect. Has anyone else gone through this? I work from home and my former boss was the VP of US operations. Now I will be working for the director of a pre-sales/project engineering group. Not only that but I now have to meet and make a good first impression on a guy that had no choice in my "hiring" process and now just has to accept me as one of his employees. Man...this restructuring corporate America stuff sucks.

Oh yeah...I forget to mention that it could be worse...at least I still have a job.

I see companies disolve frequently with no parent company to absorb the blood. Count your blessings!

Just be careful. I know of many people that got reorganized and had themselves forced onto other managers. These people all got let go within a few months. I'm not sure how your situation is, but just be aware of it.
