My Chow Chow (chinese dog) would catch birds all the time. I was amazed. I think he caught an Oriole once.


I've never seen a dog catch birds before.

Virtually every town centre in this country is overrun with flocks of feral (wild) pigeons. They thrive on the easy pickings from litter bins and the throw outs from restaurants and food shops. They crap everywhere defacing buildings, monuments and footpaths. There are always people sitting feeding the damned things during the day. Pigeon crap is potentially very dangerous stuff and carries numerous horrible diseases! Every time our local authority wants to cull their numbers we have an almighty protest from the misguided individuals who see themselves as 'Conservationists'. The opposition is such that I'm pretty sure that specialist firms are brought in to cull them during the early hours when the streets are deserted.

I love shooting "stooks" with my BB gun. Wait a sec, a "stook" is not a bird or something, sure does sound like one...

 

This is exaclty why I started this thread. In my Jersey City area, it seems every corner has an old indian woman who puts out leftover rice for these flying rats. The pigeons sit on top of their houses all day long, spreading onto other roofs beacuse there's no room. And one of these culprits is my landlord's wife. This insanity must stop!

 

Exactly! Give them rice! Then give them water and watch their stomachs explode right in front of your eyes!

I got crapped on twice within a month's time. Once getting into my stook and another bomb came through the sunroof of my Lex and landed on my arm. It was funny but I would rather not have this!
