Can I be in charge of the communication infrastructure? I've lived, breathed, and dreamt voice/data networking for so long I don't know what I'd do without it...
I thought a F1 race, along with other club races, would be our source of income? This will require a commercial airstrip or deep sea port to be a viable option (since I don't think they will float the cars over on 35' rafts). There is a cool $200M right there. We will have to sell municipal bonds or something to pay for this.
The best income option here will be to sell sponsorships. If Fruit of the Loom can pay $50mm for Pro Player stadium then it should be a cinch to sell of the naming rights of our tracks. Then add on race titlement sponsorships, associate level sponsorships, etc. We can easily garner $200mm in one season. All we would need to do is pitch the whole package as "F1 meets Survivor" - viewership will be the prime 18-54, 30% female-70% male, $60++ HH Income. Not only that but the networks can sell advertising spots to the sponsors- its a deal they can't refuse and we all become famous. I haven't even begun fathoming the licensing and royalties that we will get from having the Island races featured on Burger King cups and Hot Wheel cars....
