Default I need motivation!!!!

OK, I've been in the US Air Force for 4.5 years. Up untill now I've had various problems ranging from adjusting to the military, getting along with supervisors, and things like that. Mostly problems with authourity. I've been stationed to 4 different bases on 3 different continents. Spent 6 months at war... you get the idea. Now, all of a sudden I have a new wife and a 3 week old baby boy. I'm also at a new assignment with a new chance to start over and a reason to care. I've been here for 3 months and have won several awards and am doing an unbelievable amount better than I have ever done before. The thing is, now tends to be the time when I usually self distruct and mess up for one reason or another. What motivation can you guys give me to keep it up and stay on the right track?

Know that as a man your family depends on your success. Concentration, dedication, and yearning for excellence are all that's basically required. If you can do so spectacularly in short amount of time, I'm sure you can continue to do so. Don't bother looking back at your history of self destruction, but look towards the day when your baby starts to walk, to teeth, to talk, to enjoy a walk with you. Think of the days of your wife, who vowed to be with you in sickness and in health, for better or for worse.

It sounds corny but my wife and our unborn child is currently my motivation in working insane hours, traveling all over the world (and catching lung infections...) and achieving what I never thought I could achieve. As you grow older the motivation change, so just dig within yourself and you'll find it, there's no need to ask for it, you've already got it.
