Nokia has the N95.

imo, N95 is better than the iPhone spec wise.

I had the n95 but it was too bulky I'm on my I-phone right now way can be better

the iphone is kickass i picked up one today as my phone fell out going 150 on my bike last night... :\

LG has the Prada. It looks a lot like the iPhone. I think Verizon will be the carrier for it. Not sure tho.

While it may be true that some folks use their phones to its fullest capability, at least half of the people buying into this thing would hardly ever use ALL of the functions on the phone. That's the way marketing works...making you buy sh!t you don't necessarily need.

You've also gotta admit that most folks who buy anything like this (a new "must have" item) are getting it for bragging rights. Or to put up on eBay for some sucker to purchase at thousands of dollars. Sad, but true.

IMHO, the iPhone is a great device, and knowing me (I'm a big tech junkie) I'll probably have one someday...but in all honesty, it's a 'want' not a 'need', contrary to what Apple or anybody else would tell me or you. And the need to show off does play a big part in the demand for this thing...otherwise it wouldn't be selling out as fast as it is.
