I Wish I Had Never Won the Lottery...

I'd do a line off her ass.

#1 buy a ~1mil home somewhere in .. i dunno, so cal or FL. GTFO of ohio. This would count as an investment... right?
#2 buy a nice new car or two. something a bit ridiculous but <200k. cause wtf is the point of winning the lottery if you don't treat yourself, right?
#3 the rest into various investments for retirement etc.
i'd keep a solid day job to pay for all my normal expenses, but w/o car payments or mortgage... i could probably do something enjoyable for less pay, or maybe start my own consulting firm.

$3M in my pocket?
Buy a new home (smaller, not bigger, but brand new and overbuilt so that it's rock solid for as long as I live), buy a new sports car, and probably upgrade the family car to something a little bigger, safer, and more comfortable.
Other than that, not much. I'd keep working but might consider switching to consulting engineering vs my salaried job. I'd travel more often, for sure, and indulge a little bit here and there but nothing crazy.
Thing is, I'm financially conservative so I don't think that would change regardless of how much money I got. I don't spend money without thinking about it first. I've gotten bonuses and relatively large "windfalls" before (lawsuit settlement) and most of it sat there forever before I decided to use it or permanently save it.
The girl hit the nail on the head; she had no idea what to do with the money so she spent it.

ex-wrestlers (which are a combo of all 3).
OT but has anyone seen the movie "The Wrestler?"

She still has three houses and $30k, pretty good for anyone her age whether she regrets it or not.
If I had $3M, I'd buy property.

sometimes you gotta waste 400,000 grand on blow.
as for me i would do some serious investing and have a 1 million nest-egg just sitting in savings.
and of course i would get myself some toys. i.e. exotics, and a nice house, and my own brewery.
