This is probably good for IBM, they made a few fatal mistakes way back when PC's were just starting to come out that they could never fully recover from.

I am curious what some of those fatal mistakes (by IBM) are. Can you please give me some examples. I don't know if this new company can compete with Dell and HP, but it will be interesting.

Way back in the day, the IBM suits decided that there wasn't a market or need for people to have personal computers in their homes....then the Apples came out. Oops. They were playing catch-up for many years.

ibm machines costed too much.

the yellow man knows how to build the same machine at 1/3 the price w same or better quality.

thinkpad i heard will be renamed the chinkpad.


hehe. im going to buy an chinkpad and throw out my sony's . gotta support the motherland!

a little off topic, but i heard that sony got their name because the people who started sony wanted a name that would resonate wtih americans. what's more american than "sonny boy"?

any truth to this??
