what you quote is the world attitude towards us, not our attitude towards the world. While I personally agree with isolationism, our government believes in the world economy and international growth and that is what we continue to see happening. But again, this is off topic.

Sorry, I forgot to address this in my previous posts.

I don't agree with this point, either.

I never had any intentions of flaming you, but here we go: I'm sorry that your mother beat you as a child and that you have to see the internet as a series of flames.

I was not talking about terrorists, as I had previously mentioned my post is about domestic issues, not what our country is facing on the international front. I never brought up the military, and had no intention of doing so. Seems very clear to me, since I never mentioned the thought.

If you can't see the relevance of my post to your post, then I doubt your reading ability.

now, do you want to get back on topic? this is the point I am trying and have been trying to make:

Politicians have indeed enacted unconstitutional legislation geared towards restricting civil rights of people within the United States and it is a historical trend that is continuing today.

did you read that? are you sure? now can we forget the petty bickering and get on topic? please? i would appreciate it. I wonder how many more times I have to say it before you understand...

Actually Josh, the topic was:

"Then what is to come after such a nationalistic movement? All of this patriotism? Just look at the broad aspects of our culture, and parts of the world's history and what do you see will emerge from all of this?"

Nothing to do with the enacting of unconstitional legislature, specifically, although that is an aspect of the topic. Tanq's comments on the future of Isolationism are also on topic. You don't have to be a complete asshole to get your point(s) across, either. You and Tanq both have some valid points worth thinking about (and possibly debating), except they'd be much more effective without the childish insults thrown in.

although both valid points, I hoped to keep this a clean political thread which mainly consists on history itself and how you see history evolving if you were to look back say 50 or 100 years from now. hmmmmmm.

Then again, if you do not wish to argue my point then I'll be happy that we agree on it!

by the way, isn't there a ban on political threads? Where are the moderators? Do nudie pics really cause more disruption than politics?

I have never heard of nations fighting each other as a result of nudie pics.
