Definitely talk to your wife about it. I would do it in a heartbeat if my parents were in financial trouble. Besides, if you and your wife work, you won't have to send your kid to daycare, you can just let your parents watch him/her. Also, I'm sure they cared a lot for you when you were growing up and tried to give you everything you wanted, so this is the least you could do for them. To me, family, especially parents, mean too much for me to put them in a retirement home when times get bad, that's a slap to the face IMHO.

Thanks to everyone for their input!

Me and the wifey need to talk about it, ASAP! She is not against the idea... But she is not for it 100% either (I dont blame her, I completely understand givin that we are still technically considered a "newlywed couple" )

This is the first time in my life that I actually own possessions... and it feels good. I got my living room the way I want it, bedroom ETC... and I dont have to answer to anyone if I want to get up in the middle of the night and scratch my balls watching infomercials. AND IT FEELS GOOD

It may be 2 steps back if we move in with them, and it will be harder to get out.. But if there are no other options, I will do it. NO WAY ARE THEY GOING IN A RETIREMENT HOME!

Thanks for everyone's support/ comments. I gotta say that as odd as it sounds, I feel like I can open up to the S2ki community more than my own buddies. They dont seem to understand a lot of the things that happen when married and have a child ( a lot of them are still single)

We would have talked about it last night, but damn... When it rains, IT POURS!

We had a pipe bust in our laundry room and water flooding out one side of the house. Needless to say, we didnt have time to talk about it

It seems like the more shit happens, the more shit happens. I hope these issues fr your family find closure and resolution.

[QUOTE=714s2k,Aug 6 2009, 06:06 AM] If your parents are in a bad fix, you should for sure move back in there and help out. Cuz if you don't they might end up having to move in with you

Damn your kids 2 already

Your little girl is very cute!!

Though the camera angle does have her looking proportioned more like a bobble-head doll :-)

I'm in the same boat.. except I'm 19, and my both my parents are unemployed.. the house we're renting is being foreclosed on, and they need to use my credit to get an apartment.. but I somehow resist because they have made EXTREMELY poor choices in the past. The best part is when the creditors for them start calling my phone looking for them. Sigh.

If they have been responsible and done nothing to prevent it--yes, absolutely move back in. I'm hesitant in my situation because my parents don't know the first thing about money management (says the 19 y/o who pays for an '08 s2k on his own )
