Default If you were the trooper?

I did a 250mile sprint upstate in the S2k yesterday. It was all highway. I decided not to go more than 10 over the entire way. So that had me doing 80 in a 70mph. During the last half these three random SUV's approach. An old Tahoe, Sequoia, and Nissan Xterra. I decided to break my speed rule for a bit and tag along. For about 20min we're all averaging about 90-95mph. These SUV's were full of people and HAULING ASS.

I began to think, what if a trooper is chilling out ahead. Who would he come after? Who would I come after if I were him? I mean these drivers were fearless. The speed limit temporarily dropped to 60mph b/c of roadwork. That didnt stop them. Tailgating whoever blocked the left lane until they moved. Then they stormed by. I had to fall back and caught up later. It turns out they all got off at the same exit. They had to be together.

Do you think the Trooper woud come after the S and let the UTES go? It was super awkward speeding with them. I do notice that I drive faster in anything other than my S.

I would have pulled you over and thrown your butt in jail for reckless driving.

Without a doubt, the Trooper would go after the S. It's just what they tend to do...even with the SUVs being more of a concern. But...if I were the trooper, I'd stop all 4 of ya!

Why settle for 1 when you can point to all 4 and make them pull over.
Cha-ching!

It's not that difficult.

Folks figure when they are speeding as a group that the cop will generally go after the lead car...so as the cop approaches, he/she points to the driver for them to pull over...without keeping sight of the other folks...

This happened to ME on Christmas Eve.

FAWKER!

Got pulled with 2 other cars (3 total). I was the 2nd car.

Following an old Accord...doing 70 in a 55.

Oh...and yes, we all know QUICKAG would give the "GM Pass."

http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_cont...ar-a-cop-magnet this is pretty cool.

I would pull over an SUV, I know that the s2k is safe at those speeds.

Would the trooper even see the S behind the SUVS? Also, fwiw, if the trooper pulled over more than one car, it would be excellent grounds for getting out of the ticket - depending on how the officer identified the speeders.
