Keep dreaming. Let's see what the Euro is doing a year from now. I remember in the 70's
and 80's all the people talking about how Japan was going to eclipse the US economically.
I guess they are still waiting for that to happen.

Europe's aging population combined zero net growth in private sector jobs during the 90's
and their socialist shackles will continue to result in much lower economic growth than the
US for the foreseeable future. That is not the recipe for a strong currency.

To answer the question posed by this thead.

Thus would begin my racing career.

I would use the "after Taxes" amount to buy an entire fleet of Turbo Miatas!

Put 7 million into saving. . . Assuming an interest rate of 7 percent and inflation of 4.5 percent annually (both conservative numbers), I would live off the simple interest of approximately $225,000 per year (pre-tax). . .

I would then use the remaining 4 million to build my house, by my NSX and say thanks to my parents. . .

Oh yeah. . . I'd retire at age 27. . .

Credit cards just put people in debt or into more debt that they find themselves unable to pay off. I don't know how bad the situation in the States is but over here in Australia ... The national credit card debt is quite astonishing. Yes, it might be a step to a cashless society but there will never be a cashless society. Cash is still the way to doing business and is still the best accepted form. Tell me, how many times do you get discounts if you pay all in cash? Always for me especially buying car parts or electronic gear. And when you pay credit, it really doesn't mean anything but un-necessary bank charges here and there ... Read the fine print, everyone doesn't benefit only the banking institutions do.

While then again, some and quite a bit of people think that using and paying by credit card is a "cool" thing or look to do. I find this quite untrue, people who always operate in cash ... In one big stack with a metal clip or something to hold it in place, now that is what I call impressive. Though you run the risks of losing it all, but that is just a probability ... A risk that is just as taking a risk as parking your car in the carpark or on the street hoping nothing happens to it and when you return to find it exactly the way you left it. So what is so good about a cashless society? Well nothing really, because it simply doesn't work. Quite a majority of the society who indulge heavily in credit cards always find that they simply don't have enough money in their bank accounts at payday to clear up what they used. This is my opinion, nevertheless.
