Well, also three years here already
And planning to keep her forever of course.
Most 'memorable' thread items:
- the unforgettable *secret compartment*
- help, how do you open the fuel door?
- clearing corners
and
- the HID notch.

Still have mine and it just turned 3. Got a windscreen from Mingster and did an evening of panicky emails with him trying to install it. (I am quite a klutz). My wife got damned tired of all sorts of boxes arriving (Muz stuff, Zaino, JR air filter, AutoArt model) after I told her "dear, just let me get the S2000 and I will be happy FOREVER". She heard this story so many times before I cannot believe I pulled it again.
Hey everyone. Long time no see. Man where do I start? I think I used to go by duffy then duffyanneal... back in the old h-a.net days. After what seems like the millionth hack/crash of the forum I'm not sure what my name was.
I picked up my S2K for sticker just after they started arriving at the dealer's. The car was sticker, but the $300 behind the seat storage pocket and $1000 CD changer were just a tad overpriced.
I have so many memories of that awesome machine. A few I care to forget, but that's a whole different story.
A lot of the original owners are still around I see! I remember Pinky coming on board and how excited (as we all were/are) on our new machines. Pinky always had a great enthusiasm as well as some off the wall questions.
Vaportrail was a fanatic and he helped us blaze a trail will mods out the wazzoo. He sponsored a group buy of K&N filters which took a long time to show up. People were screaming bloody murder by the time they showed up. It wasn't his fault but he got grilled because of that. Off course we had our resident aftermarket parts gurus Mingster and Randy. So many cool things came from those guys. I never did get around buying the vinyl center console, but I think I got one of Mingster's dead pedals. Who could forget S2000Chris. I think he rubbed everybody the wrong way. How many times did we ban him and his multitude of pseudo names? Greg was pretty cool, but once everyone found out how short he was he never heard the end of it. I remember a Photoshop pic of him in a bikini. I forget the guys name, but he was quite emphatic out leaving his machine stock. Rev had the best looking S2K on the planet. CDelena and Paul were active in the Dallas area. I participated in the first S2K drive north of Dallas. That was a blast. Good BBQ that day too.
One of the most active discussions amongst the first group of owners was when to change the oil and what kind to use. Mobil1 was the most popular, but some were worried that the engine would not break-in with a synthetic oil. Oh, the biggy at the time was the dreaded 2nd gear grind. Yeah, everyone moan all at once.
Honda almost had me convinced that I didn't know how to drive a standard tranny along with a multitude of others. I lost track of the "Where is the fuel filler release?" and "Where is the clock" questions.
It's good to see old friends again. For those of you that are fairly new here you have a great wealth of experience and knowledge to learn from. Of all the autos that I've owned (and I've owned way too many) the S2K probably has the best group of people online and offline. Just genuine people with a common passion. Take care.

I am now over 3 years old!
I joined before I bought my MY02 in UK to get a good feel for other owners opinions before I spent the money. Now I'm in Canada with a week old MY04 (with the windscreen tape removed not 5 minutes ago!)
Some familiar names are still around and many are not. I think a lot of the missing names still have their cars, but the board has a greater number of members that are less friendly and helpful than in the past.
