I personally thought the creation of "The Corner" is great because PW got a little out of control. Sondra, you made some good points about non-enthusiasts coming in here for PWing... hopefully the corner can solve that problem because i don't want to see s2ki.com go down the hole neither. 
BG, aww let's not take this personally. (i'm not telling you what to do nor attacking you) I understand the point of having forums... we're here to share the fun and joy, etc. but if you take a look from a different perspective, some are here to share our passion for our cars (this community really feels like a family because of this)... so some may not appreciate your sense of humor. although off-topic is a place to talk about things other than an s2k, it's all good when it's not abused. you came up with some pretty good threads too. the "what the f^ck do you look like" started out pretty good...
sleepie, it's great to hear that you were considering an s2k. it's a great car and i hope your dad gets it for you. most s2k owners are not jerks... they start becoming a jerk when there's non-sense to talk/post about. i've met a lot of s2k owners in the bayarea and they're great. although i'm not sure where did you get the idea of "some of us are too proud to have an s2k", but i'm sure most of us are old and mature enough to grow out of that phase. we simply love the car.
i understand where the two sides are coming from... different people have different perspectives. let's just be able to share it "properly".

Considering the huge variety of cultures and ages of people who contribute to this board, I think we get along very well (just look at the rest of the world).
I have made some very good friends on this board, many I have never met face to face as they are on the other side of the world but I would hate them to leave because of some petty bitterness.
I think the corner is doing it's job, lets all have a cup of tea and chill out.
Oh, and if you get time, have a go at my little quiz.

I think Luke has made the point perfectly. This is a community and in any community there are people who you tend to agree or disagree with. People have to show more maturity in how they tolerate different people. The personal snipes are just not necessary as they bring the whole board down to a lower level. I was not going to contribute to this thread as it is just a big flame fest but I had to get this off my chest.

I too wasn't going to post but hopefully I can also add something to this thread.
First off both sides have valid points. I'm sure we can agree on that. Second let's not single anyone out or use personal attacks. We are better than that.
I think us (yes I am a PW) post-whores have done a pretty good job of containing ourselves to the corner. yes we have gotten loose on occasion but I think we have been very respectful to the rest of the board in containing our whoring to off-topic (and on occasion street encounters).
I think we add a little levity to the board. Personally it gives me a place where I can come after work and school and just relieve a little stress. It's nice to have a place where you can just be yourself and goof off all you want. It is a very nice vacation from the real life some of us get caught up in.
I have also met countless friends just as a result of posting a little smilie or something. The majority of the friends are people I would never get to know in real life whether it be due to age/location/opportunity. I feel as though I have known some people on this board my whole life just by interacting with them in what you all call whoring. Where else can you find such a diverse group of people interacting...joking with each other like you do here? I can't even count the number of hours I've spent reading posts from Pimp Monkeys and Evil Dogs. I think of us as one big demented, twisted family when some very funky pets.
Has the whoring gotten out of hand...maybe, but that's what off-topic is for. If you want meaningful insight I suggest you don't visit off-topic on a daily basis.
I also appreciate and like having people such as Babygrass on the board. I think if you'd do a search you would find that she has some very good topics that get a lot of response from all people. Mrkim019 on the other hand..........
Bryon is one of the true enthusiasts on this board. I think it would feel empty without him. I always have a smile when I read through his posts and I think most people would agree woth me there. We always get our panties in a ruffle when we think those Porsche or BMW owners are elitist snobs. Well I think that's what we are acting like now. We should welcome all people no matter how useless their banter is. Oh well, that's my rant.
