I'm done, gonna trade it in...seriously!
Yes, it's true, I'm going to sell it and buy a BMW. Larry has a 525i, 1990 that he rebuilt. I'm not sure if it was totalled, but it was in a wreck.
Should I go for it? What do you guys think?
(Yes, I'm talking about my 4Runner, not my S2000
)

Man, you almost make me to HATE you...4 runner for bimmer? nah...It is cool to have a SUV for other off road purposes. But if you like bimmer, get the X5...I like it alot!!!
OK, RWD, sure, not good in the snow. How about this?
A 92 TL, fully loaded, with 93k miles.
How about them apples? I drove this one and it was very nice. I had test driven one of these new when they came out and liked it a lot. It was also in a wreck, but only the front piece and headlights were damaged, it drove beautifully...
Thoughts?

Seem like you're really looking for bargain in the salvaged stuff huh? IMO, if the engine did not get damaged but only the car body, go for it. I'm sure your friend Larry can do his magic on the body.
Unless you are not going to lose on the 4-Runner I would avoid the trade. Also, the 4-Runner will do much better in the winter.
Weren't the early TL's 5-cylinder engines?? These things were not great cars and the sales numbers supports that statement.

Greg,
As a former owner of a 528 with Traction C. in So. Jersey where it hardly ever snows, this would be a bad choice.
I have a friend who had a Vigor with the 5 Cylinder, it was fine, but he got rid of it around 80K. I don't know how they hold up over the long term. I think 5 cylinders just strikes folks odd.

My uncle had a 92 TL he just got rid of it last year with around 90,0000+ miles. Maybe it was just the way he took care of his but it didn't seem like it was a luxury vehicle anymore when he got rid of it. Oh yeah, he use to let me drive it and I will say I don't think you would enjoy it much. No pep.
