I started watch the first season in college (~5 years ago) and I am now hooked again on season 2. Does anyone else watch this show?

I do not have HBO, so I have resorted to watching the DVD's albiet a season late, but I don't give a shit. So far I've watched the Sopranos and Band of Brothers. What others should I line up when I am done with Curb? Rome looked good and so did OZ. Someone recommended The Wire to me the other day but I could not find it at Blockbuster.

 

six feet under was pretty good...i saw the entire first season but missed the rest after i started college. 5 years later and i think the show is done now, haha...but season dvd sets should be available.

 

Yeah, Six Feet Under was a great show, one of my favs.

Oz was good, but in a wierd, freaky way.

The Wire was another one that I liked. I think the second season was the best (the one that took place on the docks), but last season was pretty damn good too. The 5th season of The Wire will be starting production in March or April I think.

Sopranos, well, that goes w/o saying.

Rome seemed boring to me but Curb your Enthusiasm was like watching a train wreck happen, couldn't get past one episode.

Haven't seen Extras, but I hear that's good.

Obviously including Six feet under, I'd add The Sopranos.

After watching Curb your enthusiasm, you realize that Seinfeld was pretty much Larry David's creation. Funny stuff.

 

yeah you know what, i agree...but i watched that whole first season anyway, hoping for it to become something (rome). it just seemed so small-scale and miscast.

one other thing, my roommate really likes deadwood, but i haven't seen any episodes yet. seems like all the hbo series are pretty decent.

Rome....not as good as Sopranos, but still good. fight scenes are pretty sweet, good characters, plus a little, little history.
OZ....freaky, I will never break the law and go to prison after watching
extras....watched 3 or 4, decently funny, first one was the best ive seen...wont give it all away, but famous actress dressed as a nun, giving phone sex advice, funny!!! kinda like The Office humor.

Thanks I've heard good things about Entourage. Is their a decent amount of nudity in it? My impression of the show is that a kid gets a gig in Hollywood, then he gets himself and all of his friends laid. Am I close?

Entourage is a great show. I don't recall any nudity though, but they come close.

 

not on HBO but have you watched "arrested development"? It is pretty funny.... stupid funny.... beeped out swearing, lots of ghey innuendo (how the hell do you spell that word?) I know you are into that....
