As for the junk hanging off the car (and I know this will affend so folks - sorry), but it's probably no less effective than a lot of the junk folks hang off their S2ks.

Car and Driver is now accepting submissions for their next 10best issue. I believe one of the categories is wings/bodykits.

I don't think you'll win because I've seen at least 3-4 Civics with similar setups here in SoCal, but it can't hurt to try.
